From developing a good idea to writing the book, I can coach you through the process or help you finish the work.

|
Development and Conceptual Book Design:
As your development editor, I will review all possible material for inclusion in the manuscript, prepare a Marketing Summary, a proposed Table of Contents, and a chapter synopsis to initiate your work of the script.
I will also coach you (or your writers) through the process of preparing a clear, concise, marketable manuscript that is ready for copyedit and typeset. My development fee includes reading each new revision of the material, embedding comments to flag concepts that may be unclear to the reader, and recommending additional development of ideas as the writing of the script proceeds. I will continue to consult and reread revisions of the work until development of the manuscript is complete.

Substantive Editing:
As your substantive editor, in addition to the development services explained above, I will edit your existing manuscript in its current outline for clarity and recommend light reorganization if needed. Scriptures may be proposed to support your points; chapter titles and subtitles will be developed for marketing impact; and the word count will be edited to fit the nearest print signature for your existing material. A style sheet will be developed to insure consistency of spelling, grammar, and style usage by additional proofreaders.

Writing/Rewriting:
As your writer, in addition to the services above, I will re-organize your material from your first draft, sermon transcriptions, or interviews to follow our pre-approved outline. Scriptures, stories, and anecdotes will be added to your material to expand your ideas and build transitions to keep your reader’s highest level of interest.
